Now that the vote counting process for political entities has been completed across the country, which has so far also allocated mandates, the counters in all CEAZs are also counting preferential votes for candidates on the open list.
What is striking this time, although there are still votes to be counted, is that many old politicians will not be part of the new parliament, while new and somewhat unknown names have received significant votes.
Thus, in Shkodra, Bardh Spahia is the favorite among the Democrats, while the Socialist Party managed to get all four mandates on the safe list. Although first on the open list, the 5-4 split leaves former minister Edona Bilali out of parliament.
Kukes finished counting votes for candidates first, and Shkelqim Shehu managed to snatch the mandate from Isuf Celaj in the ranks of the DP.
Gjin Gjoni and Aleksandër Lala are the most voted in the Lezha district from the PD and ASHM coalition, while from the SP, Pranvera Skana results with the most votes. In this district, the distribution of mandates is still unclear, as there are still many votes from the diaspora that could overturn the result in favor of the socialists.
In Dibër, the 3-2 split of mandates for the SP left Përparim Spahiu, Xhemal Gjunkshi, and Basir Çollaku out of parliament even though they had a considerable number of votes, while Agron Malaj won the mandate for the SP by a wide margin.
Former prosecutor Arjan Ndoj leads the race of the most preferred candidates in the Durrës district from the ranks of the Democrats, while Arkend Balla and Ani Dyrmishi are the most voted on the Socialist list. The latter are joined by Etleva Budini, who benefits from the gender quota here.
The strongest race until the last vote is taking place between candidates of the same type in the Tirana district, where the best teams from both sides are located.
The division of mandates 19 to 13 has led the DP to enter only 1 MP from the open list, and currently the most voted is the doctor Ilir Alimehmeti. Many well-known names such as Jorida Tabaku, Myslim Murrizi, Ilir Meta, Asllan Dogjani, Grigels Muçollari, Mimoza Hajdarmataj remain outside the new assembly.
While the SP will also include 7 mandates for "favorites", here too many of the "oldies" will be left out.
Blendi Gonxhja is currently the most voted on the SP list, followed by Minister Ervin Hoxha, Fatmir Xhafaj, Erion Braçe, Ornaldo Rakipi, Antonela Dedej, Anila Denaj, who are included in the new assembly.
Meanwhile, the list of those left out is long, with Klotilda Bushka, Etilda Gjonaj, Xhemal Qefalia, Olta Xhaçka, Mimi Kodheli, Pandeli Majko, Blerina Gjylameti, Ermonela Felaj, Toni Gogu, Endrit Braimllari, Plarent Ndreca or Arben Pëllumbi standing out.
In the districts of Elbasan, Fier and Vlora, no one from the open list of the DP can think of entering the Assembly due to the votes, this is because the Democrats have suffered a disappointing result and have lost mandates from the safe list as well.
The Socialists in Elbasan are expected to introduce Sara Milen as the favorite to the Assembly, followed by Saimir Hasalla, Aulona Bylykbashi and Olsi Komici.
Meanwhile, in Fier the list is even longer, where Klevis Jahaj, Asfloral Haxhiu, Elton Korreshi, Ceno Klosi, Antoneta Dhima, Zegjine Çaushi, Ilirjan Musko are listed in the preferential votes.
In the Berat district, the Democrats Parid Mahmutaj and Lefter Maliqi will not be able to enter the Assembly, even though they received enough votes, as the DP managed to secure only 2 safe mandates.
From the SP, the favorites in the open lists are Hysen Buzali, Fadil Nasufi, while Julian Zyla remains out as Hatixhe Konomi benefits from the gender quota.
In Korça, the DP is expected to introduce Jorida Mazelliu into the Assembly, while from the SP, the most voted candidates are Ilirjan Pendavinji, Blendi Çomo and Arjan Jaupllari, but the latter is also unlucky since the quota issue is also applied here.
Damian Gjiknuri, Vullnet Sinaj, Ardit Bido, Vasil Llajo, Brunilda Mersini are the most voted socialists in Vlora, while the DP also loses one vote, leaving out Atird Hoxha. (A2 Televizion)
