The Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, exercised his right to vote in this Sunday's elections in Albania, as he also holds Albanian citizenship.
Through a post on Facebook, he announced that he has expressed his support for a candidate who, according to Lladrovci, has been and should remain a strong voice for the national issue in the Albanian Parliament.
" We came and voted. I expect that the candidate I voted for will continue to be in Parliament, to be an advocate for the national cause, as he has been to this day, for Kosovo and Albanians everywhere they live, " writes the mayor of Drenas, alongside a photo of himself with his family.
He emphasized that MPs and state leaders in Albania have a clear responsibility to represent and protect the interests of Albanians living outside the country's administrative borders.
" Deputies, as well as the executive leaders of the state, have a moral, national and constitutional obligation to raise and defend the important issues of Albanians outside the administrative borders. The obligation of Albanians outside the administrative borders, as is known, is to love Albania! " he said. (A2 Televizion)
