She is in her seventh year of retirement, but this March 7th also began with phone calls and congratulations from her former students.
Violeta Kraja, the French teacher at the "Asim Vokshi" school, does not hide her satisfaction that her former students, now doctors, lawyers or in other professions, from within and outside the country, have found a place to remember and appreciate her.
During the conversation with her, teacher Violeta does not express any complaints about her 40 years of work in education, she refuses to talk about the difficulties, the pension she receives or what she has missed in education over the years.
She says with conviction that teaching is the profession she loves the most, and that she would not change it for any other. Today, when she sees education from afar, hears about reforms, curricula, and increased violence in schools, Violeta Kraja, the teacher who holds the title of "Grand Master" and the "Naim Frashëri" order, emphasizes that education needs to strengthen education, not only scientific education.
When asked about the gifts, even material ones, that have been accompanying March 7 for years, teacher Violeta tells about the rule she has established for her students over the years.
Violeta Kraja is one of thousands of retired teachers who speak with respect and love for their work, and advise the same to the younger generations. (A2 Televizion)
