Built in 1974 and last reconstructed in 1997, the Fier maternity hospital is currently in an unacceptable condition for the service it should provide.
The situation is also acknowledged by the head of the maternity ward herself, who underlines that the lack of conditions has led many mothers living in Fier to go to give birth in Tirana maternity wards, writes A2.
After many promises, it seems that concrete steps have finally been taken for the complete reconstruction of this maternity hospital and its return to a worthy service, considering that this maternity hospital serves not only the city of Fier. (A2 Televizion)
