Arsenal have claimed a stunning 3-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, making history for the club and taking a huge advantage into the return leg at the Santiago Bernabéu.
On an electrifying evening at the Emirates, the Londoners dominated a Real Madrid side that struggled to find their usual rhythm. Arsenal tried to attack from the start with Rice and Martinelli threatening Courtois' goal.
In the first half there were chances for both teams – Vinícius shot wide, while Mbappé was stopped by Raya. On the other hand, Saka distributed several dangerous balls into the area, but without being finalized. Rice was closer to the goal, but the Belgian goalkeeper stopped every attempt.
After the break, Arsenal exploded. Rice opened the scoring with a beautiful free kick in the 59th minute, and just 12 minutes later he scored an even more beautiful goal, with another gem in the triangle.
