Armando Broja has made a promise to Everton fans, as he spoke to EvertonTV after the 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
"I'm 100 percent sure that the best of me is yet to come," said the red and black bomber as the Liverpool team prepares for the final phase of the 2024/25 season.
An ankle injury sustained during an FA Cup tie against Peterborough in January kept Broja out of action for 10 matches.
Now back in shape and pain-free, the 23-year-old Albanian has played as a substitute in Everton's last three games and also received valuable minutes for Albania in two matches, including the 3-0 win over Andorra, where he assisted Rei Manaj's second goal.
"I feel much better now. I'm happy that I can get back on the field and play without pain. That was all I wanted – to play without pain, to enjoy football, to play in front of the fans and to do my best for the team. The goals will come, the assists will come, and I will play better. The most important thing is that I'm back and now I want to forget about the injuries and move forward," Broja said.
The red and black striker sees this final period of the season as a crucial moment to leave his mark on the Everton club.
"Every time I step on the pitch, it's an opportunity to show myself to the coach, to the fans and to the club. I want to give everything every time I step on the pitch," he declared.
Everton now prepare for the weekend's away game against Nottingham Forest, followed by a home game against reigning champions Manchester City. But after two strong draws against Liverpool and Arsenal, Broja says the team is full of confidence.
"We played well in both games and, to be honest, we could have taken more points. The draw against Arsenal shows the character of the team. Everton have always been a team that fights until the end. It is a historic moment for the club and for the fans. It is the last season at Goodison and we will give everything to finish as high as possible in the table," concluded Broja. (A2 Televizion)
