Albanian National Team captain Berat Gjimshiti spoke at the press conference ahead of the match against England at Wembley. He expressed optimism and stressed that the team is motivated to give their best on the field.
"The atmosphere in the team is very good. We have young and talented players who have brought a new spirit. Everyone has worked hard in training to achieve something that has not been done before. Some dreams seem impossible, but sometimes they come true. We are not here to hide behind the fact that England are a great team. We will try our chances and give everything on the pitch," he said.
Gjimshiti praised the strength of the opponent, acknowledging that England have top-level players, such as Jude Bellingham. “He is a fantastic player, one of the best in the world. He can reach his peak and become even better. We know that England are favourites not only against us, but also against other teams,” he added.
The captain stressed that Albania is prepared and will not be underestimated. He recalled the good performance in the European Championship and stressed the importance of concentration at every moment. “At these levels, a small mistake can cost a lot.
