Robert Lewandowski was the hero of the night for Barcelona, scoring a brace in a 4-0 win over his former club Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final. Under Hansi Flick, the Catalans continued their remarkable run of form, extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to 23 games (W19 D4).
Barcelona started strongly, with Yamal and Lewandowski. The first goal came from Raphinha, who scored from close range, despite being very close to being offside. The Brazilian also set up Lewandowski for the second goal, after a header from Yamal's cross was deflected, giving the Pole his 28th goal in 28 games against his former team.
Lewandowski scored the third goal after a fantastic counterattack, with Fermín López perfectly serving after a clever pass from Yamal. The fourth goal came from Yamal himself, after a brilliant assist from Raphinha, sealing a perfect evening for the Blaugrana.
This big win not only gives Barcelona an advantage going into the second leg, but also boosts their chances of a treble this season. Lewandowski makes history, becoming the first player to score 10 goals in a Champions League season for three different clubs: Dortmund, Bayern and Barcelona.
