Yesterday, Igli Tare was officially announced as the new sporting director of Milan in Serie A, for at least the next 2 years.
Regarding this development, his brother, Auron Tare, also reacted today, through a post on social media, thanking all friends and Albanians for their sincere congratulations for Igli.
He continues by writing that the story of Igli Tare is an inspiration for every Albanian who decides to try themselves and their luck anywhere in the world, where our compatriots work and contribute, reports A2 CNN.
But at the end of his article, he also dwells on what he describes as 'hypocritical congratulations' from senior exponents of Albanian politics and football, whom he asks to 'save' them.
Auroni continues by writing that Football and Political Albania had no desire or will to include or engage the former Lazio Director in any sports project for the good of the country.
Auron Tare's reaction:
Thanking all the friends and well-wishers of Igli, my father and mine who have sent messages of congratulations and support for a very big challenge that an Albanian will undertake in the world arena of football, I have to say a few more words as someone who does not know football, and Italian football in particular.
As an Albanian, just like many other Albanians who have written from New Zealand, Alaska, California or some remote village here in Albania, I am also very proud that an Albanian reaches such a peak in his personal career. Igli's success should inspire every Albanian who decides to try himself and his fate in the big world where we live or contribute today. I appreciate the sincere congratulations of many Albanians as a truly sincere support. But I have to say that this morning I also read some deeply hypocritical congratulations. Football and Political Albania had no desire or will to include the former Director of Lazio or engage in any sports project for the good of the country. Therefore, congratulations to Igli and spare us the Albanian hypocrisies please. (A2 Televizion)
