With the score tied at 2-2, the Bavarians were looking for the goal that would give them qualification and Josip Stanisic reacted unpleasantly to one of the boys collecting the balls on the sidelines, writes A2.
The Bayern Croatian pushed the boy hard after the latter cleared a ball to delay the game for a few seconds. As a result of the push, the boy fell off the bench where he was sitting. The Inter players reacted and a fight broke out on the pitch.
Today, Stanisic apologized for his actions.
"Every team tries to delay the game. Maybe it was a little stupid on my part and I'm sorry I pushed the guy. At that moment I was a little annoyed by the fact that they were making these plays. It seemed excessive to me," said the Croatian footballer.
