The striker of the Dutch national team, Bas Dost, has "hung up his boots" and this is because of the health problems he recently displayed.
Two weeks ago, the famous striker suffered a heart attack during the NEC-AZ Alkmaar match and managed to escape only thanks to the immediate intervention of the medical staff, who rushed him to the hospital.
The NEC attacker has now been released from hospital but was fitted with an internal defibrillator as a precaution. Bas Dost was diagnosed with myocarditis and for this he has already announced that he will stop his career as a football player.
"I'm happy to be back home and I'm going to recover now. I want to thank all those who have supported me during this period", said Dost. (A2 Televizion)
