The footballer from Ghana, who suffered from heart disease and therefore could not continue his career in the elite of Spanish football, also had a very difficult childhood. In an interview for the Swiss "NZZ", a year ago, Dëamena confessed his life, which has had a lot of drama inside.

Raphael was raised by his grandmother, after his parents abandoned him after birth. He was reunited with his parents only after he became a famous footballer in Ghana. One of the questions his mother asked him was how old he was, since she could not remember when she had given birth to him. Meanwhile, Dwamena never asked his mother why she left him with his grandmother, as he did not want to appear ungrateful to the grandmother, who, in order to earn income, was forced to let little Raphael sell her homemade ice creams.

Dwamena's talent was discovered on the street, where he played football with other children secretly from his grandmother. Dwamena's first contract was with the local Red Bull academy, for 100 euros a month. After three years in the academy, Red Bull sent the talented youngster to Austria, to the Salzburg academy. He played with the U-18 team, and then was taken by the main team, and there began his story in professional football, to end tragically, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Rrogozhina stadium.
