Milan escaped a fourth consecutive defeat in Serie A, overturning a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 against Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare.
Conceicao's side thought they had taken the lead in the first minute through Santiago Giménez, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Just five minutes later, Nikola Krstović gave Lecce the lead with a shot from outside the area.
After Milan had another goal disallowed, Krstović came close to doubling the lead but hit the post. Late in the first half, goalkeeper Falcone made a couple of crucial saves to keep the home side ahead.
In the second half, Giménez hit the post for the second time, while Musah wasted a clear chance. Lecce took advantage and Krstović scored his second personal goal with another beautiful shot.
However, Milan found their luck with an own goal from Gallo, and then won a penalty that was converted by Christian Pulisic. The American only needed a few minutes to complete the upset with a powerful shot after a cross from Rafael Leão.
This important victory brings Milan closer to the European zone, while Lecce remains close to the risk of relegation. (A2 Televizion)
