Emotions, spectacle and many goals - this is how the regular championship of the Superior Category in Albanian football ended.
Tirana achieved an important 0-2 victory over Dinamo in Rrogozhina, securing a place in the Play Out. Meanwhile, Laçi and Skënderbeu failed to survive and were relegated. In the “Final Four” for the title go Egnatia, Vllaznia, Dinamo and Partizani.
In the Dinamo-Tirana match, coach Shkëmbi's blue and white team started strongly from the first minutes, looking for a goal. They managed to unblock the result after a corner kick, where Rafael took advantage of the weakness in the coverage and sent the ball into the net.
With a 0-1 lead, Tirana went into the break, but the second half was not easy at all. Dinamo tried to react and Loran risked a shot very close to the goal. However, it was Tirana who sealed the victory in the last minutes, with Zharmuni scoring from the penalty spot, giving the team the final calm and the opportunity to think about the Play Out match.
In other challenges last week, Partizan won 2-0 against Elbasan, leaving the latter out of the top four.
Bylisi secured survival with a decisive 1-2 victory in Korça against Skënderbeg, thus leaving Korça out of the Superiore for the next season. Meanwhile, a 1-1 draw with Vllaznia was not enough for Laçi to retain their place in the Superiore, and they were relegated to the First Category. (A2 Televizion)
