UEFA doubles the prize money for the European Women's Championship

The prize money for the 2025 European Women's Championship will be double that of the last tournament, UEFA said on Monday.

In next year's European Championship, 16 national teams will share 41 million euros.

Each federation will earn at least 1.8 million euros for participating in Euro 2025 in Switzerland, and is obliged to allocate at least 30 percent of that money to its players, European football's governing body announced.

The winner of Euro 2025 will receive up to 5.1 million euros.

The clubs, whose footballers will compete in this tournament, will also earn about 6 million euros, or 657 euros per day per footballer.

This is an overall increase of 33 percent compared to the last European for women.

The prize money for the 2024 European Men's Championship was €331 million, out of total revenues of around €2.4 billion.

Each of the participating national teams won at least 9.25 million euros, while the winner, Spain, received 28.25 million euros. REL (A2 Televizion)
