Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton made his first appearance outside Italy in red as Ferrari's new driver. The event was an unprecedented event organised by Formula One, where the cars of the ten participating teams were presented in front of 15,000 fans in a spectacular ceremony.
Hamilton will represent the red-head team at the 2025 World Championship after leaving Mercedes. He received a standing ovation from the crowd as he took to the stage in London.
"I feel very alive, very energetic. I'm starting a new chapter and I'm focused on what's ahead. It's an honour to be part of this team. It's a new and exciting adventure for me," said Hamilton.
The two-hour show included a light show, lasers and live performances by former band Take That and country singer Kane Brown.
Liberty Media, the group that owns the broadcast rights to Formula One, announced that the event had surpassed one million views on its YouTube channel, breaking previous records for live-streaming.
The spectacle, which featured cars from 10 teams and 20 drivers, was broadcast live around the world. Each team had just seven minutes to present their single-seaters, some of which had no engines installed and would not be taking to the track. (A2 Televizion)
