Ingebrigtsen (24), who is the reigning Olympic champion in the 5000 meters, is the current world record holder in the 1500, 2000 and 3000 meters.
However, last night he managed to break two world records simultaneously, in one race. In Lievin, France, he set two records in a single race, setting records in the mile and 1500 meters simultaneously.
During the winning race, he ran a mile in 3:45.14, breaking American Yared Nuguse's record of 3:46.63.
In the same race, he broke the world record for 1500 meters with a time of 3:29.63, surpassing his own indoor world record (3:30.60) set at the same venue three years earlier.
"I feel amazing, all this happened in Lievin. I'm very happy because you have to be focused throughout the race. It's hard, but it's worth it," the Norwegian said after his big achievement. (A2 Televizion)
