The Skanderbeg Trophy in the Hill Climb discipline is one of the most important competitions for Motorsport pilots. Speed and an indescribable adrenaline. This was the panorama that was offered in Sari Salltik in Kruja. Organized by the Automobile Club of Albania and the Albanian Federation of Automobile Sports, this competition was carried out in detail. The pilots had come from different countries such as Kosovo, Hungary, Serbia or Montenegro.. Each of them, as soon as he put on the pilot's suit and put the helmet on his head, forgot everything else and the goal now became Victory itself.
Extraordinary success was for the Albanian champion Gentian Shaqiri who again placed first in the P4 group, where he is also the reigning European champion. Shaqiri recorded a total time of 4 minutes, 41 seconds and 131 thousandths, leaving behind his two rivals, the Montenegrin, Sutobic and the Serbian Brkic.
What brought the greatest emotions was the General Race where this time there was no lack of spectacle and rivalry and in the end the difference was only 5 seconds. The winner was the Hungarian Lazlo Szasz who after the victory in the Kosovo Tower, this time the veteran competing for Croatia also triumphed in the “Skënderbej” Trophy in Krujë.
Gentjan Shaqiri was positioned second in the overall standings, with only a 5-second difference, however, despite this, this was another very successful stage in the FIA CEZ for the Albanian champion.
The only girl who has been challenging speed and the male gender for years is Arjeta Rrysha. She is ruling the world of motorsports, and her passion for speed has made her never give up on this sport.
Even though it is an expensive sport and not everyone can afford it, there are those passionate about it who do not give up easily. Ervin Kosova and Gentian Kulla are veterans in this sport since it came to Albania until today. Even though the support has not been the best, the desire to race on the track has never been lacking.
The Hill Climb “Skënderbej Trophy 2025” is the only international competition taking place in Albania. Our country welcomes it for the tenth consecutive year & this time, it exceeded all expectations.
Adrenaline and the thrill of speed are present in every race. For the pilots, this sport is the greatest passion. Although the support is still not at the level that all athletes would like, they do not give up, on the contrary, they promise even better results to raise the Albanian flag as high as possible on the international stage.
