A Russian Antonov An-12 cargo plane skidded off the runway during an emergency landing in Novy Urengoy, Siberia, on March 26, the local Transport Prosecutor's Office service announced, publishing footage of the landing, writes A2 CNN.
According to a statement from the Transport Prosecutor's Office, the plane with eight crew members skidded off the runway after a technical defect in the left wheel during an emergency landing. No one was injured in the incident.
The Antonov An-12 is a four-engine turboprop cargo aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. Many similar An-12 aircraft continue to be in service with Russian air cargo operators and other air transport companies around the world. (A2 Televizion)
