North Korea is one of the most inaccessible places in the world for tourists, but it has recently loosened its grip. A select number of tourists are allowed access to the dictatorial state, but they must follow pre-determined itineraries and be accompanied everywhere by local guides.
Recently, a Spanish tourist known on TikTok with the nickname @caminante.rojo visited the capital Pyongyang and managed to secretly film some footage of it.
The video shows large spaces and modern skyscrapers, similar in every way to those of a Western capital. However, the most interesting part of the video is the one filmed inside a brewery. What is most surprising is the price of some imported beers, such as a Belgian lager that costs about 72 euros.
The reason is simple, the economic sanctions to which North Korea has been subjected for years make the few products imported from abroad very expensive.
The price of local beer is much more modest, only $3. Another curiosity is that inside the beer hall, foreign tourists can only consume on the upper floor, separated from locals who are reserved for the ground floor. (A2 Televizion)
