An orbital rocket burst into flames just seconds after launching from a Norwegian spaceport on Sunday.
The Spectrum missile was produced by the German start-up Isar Aerospace.
This flight test was also the first time a rocket capable of reaching orbit has been launched from continental Europe, excluding Russia.
The missile was able to stay in the air for almost half a minute before falling into the Norwegian Sea, where it exploded.
However, Isar Aerospace stated that “the test achieved the objectives they had.”
The company stated that the flight, as short as it was, enabled them to collect a significant amount of data about the flight, which will then be applied to future missions. (A2 Televizion)
