It seemed like a normal day of fishing for 19-year-old Matt Wells, who was paddling his kayak in the hopes of catching a big fish, writes A2 CNN. But just when he thought he had made the catch of the year, he quickly realized that a great white shark, one of the most dangerous species in the world, was approaching him.
The incident took place in the waters off the coast of New Zealand and Wells, just 19 years old, says he was left shivering. "It was one of the scariest things I've ever seen," Wells says.
For several minutes, the shark followed him closely, not moving away. Filming the moment, Wells can be heard saying in concern: "Please don't attack me, bro."
The tense situation lasted several minutes until the shark finally left. (A2 Televizion)
