A fisherman in Russia has caught a terrifying, alien-looking creature. With a large, bloated body that looks like a brain, small eyes and a gaping mouth, this fish resembles a being from another planet. Fisherman Roman Fedortsov pulled this creature from the depths of the Pacific Ocean
He identified the fish as an Aptocyclus ventricosus, also known as the smooth fish. This species of fish is found in the deep sea and reaches up to 44 cm in length. Its unique appearance was likely caused by the change in pressure when it was brought to the surface, causing its body to swell.
Roman, who works on a fishing boat in Murmansk, Russia, shared a video of the creature on his boat, receiving more than 200,000 views and leading many to believe that aliens exist. Some users commented comparing it to popular movie characters, such as Megamind and the Dark Lord from Harry Potter.
Fedortsov has also discovered other unusual sea creatures. He has also shared images of creatures that resemble hamburgers or fingers. Despite often not knowing what these creatures are, he has managed to become an internet sensation, sharing his passion for these strange sea creatures. (A2 Televizion)
