"Ethics must be respected," Germany bans clothed people from nudist

The city of Rostock in Germany is tightening rules on naturist ethics, giving beach guards the power to stop people wearing clothes in areas designated for nudists only, writes A2 CNN.

According to Moritz Naumann from Rostock tourism, this new rule was imposed after numerous complaints from people who felt uncomfortable in areas designated for nudists.

"Nudist beach etiquette must be respected, and some of the most common violations are excessive observation, photography and unwanted comments," said Stéphane Deschênes, President of the International Federation of Naturism. She stressed that respecting the rules on nudist beaches is essential for a peaceful and acceptable environment for everyone.

Rostock has a 15-kilometer coastline, which is divided into nudist-only, mixed and clothing-optional areas. This division aims to meet the preferences of all visitors.

Nudist beach attendance has traditionally been very popular in Germany, but has begun to decline among young people. Authorities have reduced the number of nudist beaches from 37 to 27 due to declining interest. (A2 Televizion)
