Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are the protagonists of one of the most sensational and bitter divorces in Hollywood, which is still ongoing. But according to the latest rumors, the two actors may put aside their personal differences for a new film project.
International media reports that a sensational offer has arrived to reunite the two ex-husbands on the big screen. Specifically, producer Danny Rossner has made a proposal that seems hard to refuse. It's $60 million for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to star together in a movie set during World War II.
"At the moment, I think Brad Pitt makes between 20 and 25 million dollars per movie, while Angelina Jolie makes about 15 million. We are ready to offer a figure ranging from 50% more than their usual fees," stated Rossner. That means up to 37.5 million for Brad and about 22 million for Angelina.
The proposal is for a film inspired by the book "The Hotel Martinez", which tells the story of the hotel of the same name in Cannes, France, during the Second World War. Brad Pitt would play Emmanuel Martinez, the hotel's charismatic owner, while Angelina Jolie would play Emma Digard, his charming girlfriend and muse.
The film promises a story of love, betrayal and passion. "There will be a love scene," Rossner revealed. Despite the cinematic appeal the idea may have, the proposal comes at a delicate time for the former golden couple.
The producer also stated that their joint presence in a new film could be the key to a huge success at the box office. "Brangelina is more than a brand, it's a guarantee of success," commented Rossner.
After the separation that shocked Hollywood in 2016, the two actors are still the protagonists of a long legal battle. Allegations of abuse by Angelina, the incident on the private flight and the ongoing custody battle for their children are just some of the more complex chapters of their split.
