Jim Carrey is expected to star in the sequel to the iconic Christmas movie, The Grinch. The 61-year-old actor first starred in How the Grinch Stole Christmas as the main character of the Grinch in 2000.
The Ron Howard-directed film stars Jim as the Grinch, an evil, sly green-furred creature who despises Christmas and the denizens of Whoville.
And, "Giant Freaking Robot" has already reported that it is very close to bringing Grinch 2, in which Carrey will also return to the role.
According to reports, "Jim Carrey is returning to Universal Pictures for The Grinch 2, once again playing Dr. Seuss.”
So far, there has been no reaction from Carrey, but earlier he said that he is not a fan of bringing back movies.
Speaking to CinemaBlend in 2017, the actor said: "I think sequels are made as a function of commerce for the most part."
"At least two that I've done, they were characters that I enjoyed doing, but I found myself almost parroting myself at that point."
The Ron Howard-directed film will mark its 23rd year this Christmas after first airing in 2000. (A2 Televizion)
