In the challenge in the field of artificial intelligence that sees big names like OpenAI, but also the Chinese DeepSeek, Elon Musk launches Grok 3, the latest chatbot from his company xAI, founded in July 2023.
"Grok means understanding the universe," he said, explaining that the program was trained on synthetic data and uses self-correcting mechanisms that avoid errors.
Grok 3 will be available initially to X subscribers and then rolled out to other users.
Musk enters a field filled with countries racing to introduce more sophisticated and affordable products. Like Chinese startup DeepSeek, which shook up the industry a few weeks ago with the launch of its low-cost chatbot R1, a direct challenge to the United States' ambitions to lead the world in technology development.
Grok 3 will also clash with ChatGpt, pitting Musk against Sam Altman, a collaborator turned bitter rival.
Last week, OpenAI's board rejected a Musk-led bid to acquire the company for nearly $100 billion. (A2 Televizion)
