This is the shocking moment a robot went berserk as it appeared to attack a crowd of people during a Chinese festival.
A video that has gone viral shows the robot approaching a group of people behind a barrier at the Spring Festival in Tianjin, northwest China.
The robot's sudden movements forced festival security to pull it away from the crowd to prevent any danger. Event organizers called the incident a "simple robot failure," adding that the robot had passed safety tests and additional measures would be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future, A2 CNN reports.
In December last year, a Tesla engineer was attacked by a robot at the Giga Texas factory, seriously injuring the worker. Also in November, a worker in South Korea was killed by a robot that failed to distinguish a human from a box, crushing him.
