The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has ordered the leaders of the Serb entity Republika Srpska to be placed in 30-day detention, immediately after they were detained for questioning on suspicion of violating the constitutional order.

The court confirmed to media in Kosovo that it has ordered the detention of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Nenad Stevandic, writes A2 CNN.

They are suspected of undermining the constitutional order, a criminal offense under the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which provides for a prison sentence of up to five years and a ban on exercising official duties.

The Bosnian Criminal Procedure Code provides for the possibility of issuing a compulsory statement order in case a person summoned to judicial institutions refuses to appear in person. If this is not possible, the next step is to issue a national arrest warrant. (A2 Televizion)
