The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria gave permission to the plane of the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, to fly over Bulgaria, to participate in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the OSCE, which will be held in Skopje from November 29 to December 1.
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria announced that it has given permission for a special Russian aviation unit to fly through Bulgarian airspace to transport a delegation to an international forum.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, most countries in Europe, including Bulgaria, have closed their airspace to Russian aircraft, the ban also applies to high-ranking Russian officials, including Lavrov.
