The Croatian Navy conducted its final ship training at the Lora barracks in Split on Wednesday, putting the finishing touches on preparations for participation in a major parade in the Adriatic, which will be held on July 31st to mark the 30th anniversary of the military-police operation "Storm".

The parade will be held simultaneously with the central parade of the Croatian Armed Forces in Zagreb, and 13 Croatian Navy ships will show off their strength on the high seas.

This is one of the largest naval activities of the Croatian Navy this year, which aims to demonstrate the high level of operational readiness, coordination and professionalism of the naval forces.

"13 ships of the Croatian Navy will participate in the military parade, which will demonstrate our training, synergy, strength and determination. By doing so, we want to present the capabilities and operational readiness of our crews," announced the Frigate's captain, Ante Sršen.

He added that this is a regular activity resulting from a long-term training process. "For us, this is just one day in the framework of ongoing military exercises. It does not represent a special challenge, but a demonstration of what we do every day," said Sršen.

The high level of coordination of the crews is also confirmed by Ivica Šantić, commander of the patrol ship "Faust Vrančić", one of the ships that will participate in the patrol.

"Our crew is trained, we have worked together for a long time and this is evident in our daily work," he said, emphasizing that the young officers were involved in operational tasks through the "Cadet" project.

He also emphasized that patrolling is not an exception, but part of the established military rhythm.

"We regularly exercise independently, but also with the navies of partner and allied countries. The key to professional development is not simply repeating what has been learned, but continuous improvement, adaptation and openness to new challenges," said Šantić.

The commander of the patrol ship, frigate captain Srđan Bilić, emphasized that all preparations are nearing completion and that the ships and crews are fully ready to participate in the important event that symbolically pays tribute to all participants in Operation "Storm" and commemorates the contribution of the Croatian Navy in protecting the sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia.
