Tensions in Greek waters, gunfire from Turkish migrant ship! Dynamics revealed

A violent incident occurred this morning on the coast of Lesvos, south of the Agios Fokas area, between Greece and Turkey, when fire was opened from a Turkish wooden boat that landed 25 migrants in the area.

According to foreign media, it is learned that the three migrant smugglers who were on board, noticing the Greek Coast Guard patrol that was going to block them, took out heavy weapons and attacked.

It should be noted that the coast guard on board the vessel was not deterred by the gunfire and continued to pursue the vessel, however, the Turkish coast guard intervened and approached the Turkish vessel, sailing towards Turkish territorial waters, writes A2 CNN.

Greek media write that this is one of the most serious incidents in their waters, which reflects the dangers that the country's Coast Guard has faced for years in the patrols they carry out, as according to them, it seems that the 'Turkish slave owners' not only have weapons, but are not limited to revolvers or carbines, but also to more powerful weapons. Miraculously, no Coast Guard officer on the Greek ship was hit and there were no injuries, writes A2 CNN.

This is about the Coast Guard vessel named after the late Kyriakos Papadopoulos, which, according to Greek media, was hit by Turkish bullets, which ricocheted and endangered the life of an officer in the cockpit.
