Vulin expelled from government, Albanian who doesn't recognize Kosovo

Serbian Prime Ministerial Candidate Gjuro Matsut submitted his proposal for a new government to parliament. The composition of the new government is notable for the absence of Aleksandar Vulin, who was apparently excluded after the European Union's criticism.

Among the proposed names is Demo Berisha, an Albanian in name only. He is expected to hold the post of minister for human rights, minorities and social dialogue. Demo Berisha has in the past denied the existence of the state of Kosovo, and has even, according to media reports, demanded that the Serbian occupier return to Kosovo. He says he was born in Peja and now lives in Vojvodina, but he refers to Serbia as his homeland, A2 CNN reports.

Demo Berisha served in the Serbian Armed Forces from 1982 until his retirement in 2005, and has been decorated several times as a soldier. He has been constantly engaged in politics and very close to the current Serbian president, and is even a member of the Initiating Committee for the establishment of the Movement for the People and the State, which is considered to be Aleksandar Vučić's new party, A2 CNN reports.

For years, he has called Kosovo "Kosovo and Metohija" and claims that he is not the only Albanian in Serbia who thinks so. For this reason, he says that in 2014, he created the non-governmental organization in Serbia called "Amęza e Shqiptareve në Srbija", reports A2 CNN.

According to an article in the media "Telegrafi", Demo Berisha, who published a magazine and dedicated the cover to the 100th anniversary of the Serbian army's passage through Albania, praised Esat Pasha Toptani for his support for the Serbs. This also seems to be his ideological connection with Aleksandër Vulin, who in France paid homage to Esat Pasha Toptani's grave, calling him a "hero of Serbia". (A2 Televizion)
