Terrible accident in Italy, three dead and 15 injured

A horrific accident has occurred on the Autosole motorway, on the section between Arezzo and Florence in Italy, leaving three people dead.

Fifteen people were also injured, with one of them in a very serious condition, four others in a critical condition and ten of them suffering minor injuries.

The horror accident appears to have been caused by a truck. According to witnesses, the vehicle crashed into cars waiting in line due to heavy traffic and then crashed into a barrier. It hit another heavy vehicle, a car pulling a caravan and a tour bus.

An ambulance from Misericordia del Valdarno, transporting a 75-year-old patient, crashed into the pile of rubble and the two healthcare workers along with the patient died.

One of the ambulance staff was named Gianni Trappolini, the other is Giulia Santoni. They were travelling in the back of the ambulance together with the patient, Franco Lovari (75 years old), who also died. (A2 Televizion)
