Protothema reports on at least three incidents involving drunken crew members of the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford in the Mediterranean island city of Hellenic.
In two of them, the Americans were involved in fights with each other after drinking too much, while in another more serious case, two marines physically attacked two Greek girls, only 15 years old.
The two minors have presented themselves to the police, denouncing the American marines who attacked them on Saturday night in the Venetian port of Chania. The two men were allegedly drunk and punched and slapped the minor girls.
The girls managed to escape by running and described to the investigators the image of the two Americans, who have already been pursued by the Greek police.
Meanwhile, as for the quarrels between them, drunken Americans have fought with each other in the toilets of the Municipal Garden of the city, but the police have not intervened.
The USS Gerald Ford aircraft carrier, which carries two nuclear reactors, an electromagnetic aircraft launch system, 75 aircraft of various types and a crew of 6,000 sailors, has been stationed in Souda from where it will leave for the Mediterranean on Wednesday. (A2 Televizion)
