The US State Department has urged American citizens to leave Iran immediately.
"Make a plan to leave Iran that does not rely on assistance from the U.S. government. If you cannot leave, find a safe place in your residence or a secure building. Time is running out," the State Department message to American citizens reads, foreign media reports.
These statements come amid the escalation of the conflict between Iran and Israel, which are mutually attacking each other with missiles, drones, and aircraft.
President Donald Trump has also left open the possibility of direct United States intervention in the conflict with Iran, writes A2 CNN.
Today, the White House announced in a statement that Trump will give Iran 2 weeks before deciding whether the US will intervene directly in the conflict or not.
