The Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hasan Nasrallah, has stated that Israel will be kept "under pressure" on the border, so that the second front of the Israeli military forces, focused on the offensive in the Gaza Strip, remains open.
"The Lebanese front will continue to be a front of pressure," declared Nasrallah in a televised speech reported by the newspaper "L'Orient le Jour", where he also warned of the use of new weapons in the conflict. Thus, Nasrallah has alluded to the use in recent days of new drones and Burkan missiles, which carry an explosive charge of 300 to 500 kilograms.
"Imagine half a ton of explosives falling on the enemy's head," he said during his speech.
"Daily operations have continued, despite all preventive measures taken by the enemy. Resistance continues, regardless of enemy drones. This is a new factor, but it does not prevent the continuation of operations," said Nasrallah.
The leader of Hezbollah has blamed the United States of America for the Israeli attacks on Gaza and admitted that there was pressure from the Americans to avoid an escalation of the conflict: "I tell the Americans: if you want the secondary fronts to stop, you have to stop the aggression in Gaza".
Nasrallah also mentioned the attacks against American forces in areas like Syria and Iraq: "The ongoing operations are certainly helping to liberate Iraq and Syria from the American occupation. But the immediate objective is to stop the aggression against Gaza". (A2 Televizion)
