Drama in Paris, American girl gives birth in hotel, throws baby out of window

A young American woman gave birth in a Paris hotel and immediately threw her newborn baby out the window.

Efforts to save the child were in vain, while the woman was taken to the hospital and arrested by police.

"The newborn jumped from a second-floor window of a hotel at 6 a.m.," the Paris prosecutor's office said.

Alarmed by the screams, witnesses raised the alarm, but the newborn could not be saved. Informed of the facts, the Paris prosecutor's office immediately opened an investigation.

"The investigation has just begun and the exact circumstances of this drama have not yet been clarified. It is not yet known whether this is a case of pregnancy denial," a source told the Parisian newspaper.
