Unusual in Saudi Arabia, major flooding in several cities

Saudi Arabia is dealing with torrential rains and severe flooding, affecting the streets and neighborhoods of several cities in the kingdom.

The National Meteorological Center issued various severe weather alerts across the country, including a red-level warning for the holy cities of Mecca and Medina in the west of the country, as well as areas in the eastern region.

Also, the capital Riyadh and the southwestern provinces of Aseer and Jazan received an orange level warning, which required increased caution from residents due to the predicted rainfall.

Saudi authorities have appealed for increased caution from citizens, asking them to follow safety instructions and avoid dangerous areas, including valleys and plains, where rainwater can collect.

Likewise, the Civil Protection Service has advised residents to stay away from floods and be aware of possible dangers. (A2 Televizion)
