Donald Trump, two weeks before he is sworn in as the 47th president of the United States, once again expressed a public position regarding the Biden law, with which the outgoing president tries to put a "brake" on new mining, the issue of Greenland, but also the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
On the "hot" topic of recent days, that of Greenland, the Republican said that Denmark should hand over to the US to protect the "free world" from the threats of Russian and Chinese ships, while he did not rule out the possibility of using the army to gain control of this territory and not only, since Trump is also targeting the Panama Canal.
Asked if he ruled out using "military or economic coercion" to achieve his goal of taking these lands, the president-elect said "NO."
"No, I can't assure you of either of those two, but I can say this: we need them for our financial security," he said.
On the mining issue, Trump made it clear on Tuesday that Biden's law would be overturned by executive order within hours of his return to the White House.
In matters of foreign policy, Donald Trump contented himself with declaring that the US would impose tariffs on Canada and Mexico, a position he has repeated many times in the recent past, while he did not hesitate to declare that he would propose renaming The Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.
Referring to the issue that has arisen with the Panama Canal, he noted that it is an issue that he will review with his team.
The Republican focused on the war in Ukraine, accusing Biden of a "fiasco." The president-elect said that Russia's war in Ukraine is now much more complicated and could escalate further.
"This war could escalate and become much worse than it is now," he said, adding that " it's a Biden fiasco that would never have happened if we had a real president ."
On developments in the Middle East, he warned that if the hostages still being held in Gaza are not released by January 20, "hell will break loose" in the region.
" It's not going to be good for Hamas and it's not going to be good, frankly, for anybody. It's going to be hell. I don't need to say more, but that's it," Trump said, adding that the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel "should never have happened ."
Trump also spoke highly of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the role he played in ousting Assad in Syria.
" Turkey is very smart. President Erdogan is a very intelligent and very powerful man. I can say that Assad is a murderer with what he did to the children ," he said. (A2 Televizion)
