This path seems to be followed by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has significantly softened his tone on relations with Greece, 24 hours before he arrives in Athens for an official visit.
In an interview for "Kathimerini", the Turkish leader rarely stated that he is looking forward to the opening of "a new page" in bilateral relations based on the "win-win" principle.
" Greece is our neighbor and we will always remain neighbors. We share the same sea. We breathe the same air. We are bound by our past. There are many issues that we have not yet managed to resolve. Both countries know this. However, it is up to us whether we allow these problems to cause tension and discord between our governments and our peoples. Of course we have differences of opinion and there are deep issues that cannot be resolved immediately. But there are chapters where we can find solutions and can expand the basis for cooperation ", Erdogan said.
And according to analysts, the desire to establish a strong friendship with Mitsotakis is behind a car, which has become the symbol of Turkish production - Togg T10X.
The electric SUV was also strongly used in Erdogan's election campaign, wanting to symbolize Turkey of the next generation, which will be marked by economic development as the automotive superpower in Europe.
Turkey is the fifth country in the world in the production of vehicles, but for other companies and already proud of the experience gained in the automotive industry, they have started the production of their first car.
And with an electric vehicle, the Turkish President wants to expand sales in Europe as well, starting with Greece. The T10X is in the investment files, which the Turks will take with them on their visit to Athens.
Production of the car began in 2022 and is the first of five models scheduled to be produced by 2030.
The first deliveries started in May, at about 300 cars a month, but the company aims to produce 175,000 vehicles a year when the plant in Gemlik, Turkey, is fully operational. The T10X is available in two versions with different batteries and a 218 horsepower engine.
With the small battery, the car can travel up to 314 km on a single charge, while with the larger version it reaches up to 523 km. In addition to them, the most powerful version of the T10X will soon be available, with two engines and a total power of 435 horsepower. (A2 Televizion)
