Erdogan raises his voice: We will not allow anyone to divide Syria, do not play with our patience

Turkey will oppose anyone who tries to prevent Syria from achieving lasting peace and stability,
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned on Tuesday, reiterating his continued support for the Syrian government.

"Whoever tries to prevent Syria from achieving lasting peace and stability, I say this openly, will find us standing against him and on the side of the Syrian government," Erdogan said after a cabinet meeting in the capital Ankara.

The Turkish president further warned that Turkey will become a dam, "just as it did not allow Syria to be divided through a terrorist corridor," to prevent the country from being divided through other corridors.

" There is no possibility of returning to the pre-December 8 period in Syria. With the December 8 revolution, a new era began in the country. Instead of testing the limits of Turkey's patience in Syria, some actors should appreciate Turkey's friendship, behave like a state and not like a (terrorist) group ," he added.

Erdogan's warnings come at a time when internal tensions in Syria and regional ones are also escalating, and new crises are constantly emerging. (A2 Televizion)
