President Donald Trump says he will speak with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin tomorrow as he seeks to end the war in Ukraine.
According to foreign media, the American leader revealed the upcoming conversation to reporters while flying from Florida to Washington on Air Force One last night.
"We'll see if we have something to announce maybe by Tuesday. I'll be talking to President Putin on Tuesday," Trump said.
"A lot of work was done over the weekend. We want to see if we can end that war," he added.
Although Russia failed in its original goal of 'breaking' Ukraine with its invasion three years ago, it still controls large areas of the country.
Trump said that Ukrainian land and power plants are part of the conversation about ending the war, writes A2 CNN.
"We're going to talk about land. We're going to talk about power plants," he said, describing it as "separation of certain assets." (A2 Televizion)
