The situation in California is becoming more and more dramatic. The map of fires and evacuations has been expanded. California's governor is calling for an independent investigation into how the lack of water hurt firefighting in the Los Angeles area.

A night-time curfew comes into effect soon in areas devastated by fires burning in and around the city. Police warn that anyone involved in the robbery will be arrested. Los Angeles officials apologized after a second false alarm message was sent to residents' phones, warning them to prepare to evacuate.

At least 16 people have died in the fires so far and it is estimated that more than 10,000 homes and other structures have been destroyed. President Joe Biden describes Los Angeles as a "war scene."

Damages are estimated at over 150 billion dollars. Meanwhile, a person suspected of intentional arson was arrested. (A2 Televizion)
