Trump said 2,000 people are being killed every week in the war - young Russians and young Ukrainians. "I want this to stop," Trump said, claiming that the United States has spent "probably $350 billion" in aid to Ukraine, while Europe has spent only $100 billion.
The European Union has rejected such characterizations, saying its member states, which do not include the United Kingdom, have provided about $145 billion in aid to Ukraine. Trump did not mention his public spat with Zelensky last week in the Oval Office. “We’re getting along very well with them and a lot of things are happening,” the US president said.
