The US Supreme Court has rejected the Trump administration's request to keep billions of dollars in foreign aid approved by Congress frozen.
However, the court did not state when the money should be released, allowing the White House to continue challenging the case in lower courts, writes A2 CNN.
By five votes to four, the judges rejected the US president's request to reject the lower court's order.
The decision saw three liberal justices join conservatives John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett in the majority. The remaining four conservatives, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, dissented, A2 CNN reports.
