An Israeli airstrike in Gaza struck the home of a doctor, killing nine of her 10 children, the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, where she worked, confirmed. One of the children and her husband were injured but survived, A2 CNN reports.
A video shared by the director of the Hamas-run health ministry and verified by the BBC showed the macabre aftermath of the attack, with the bodies of burnt children being pulled from the rubble. Meanwhile, in other attacks, the Israeli army has killed 70 more people, mostly civilians, women and children, according to the Hamas-run civil defense agency in Gaza. The doctor's relatives are asking the Israeli army for mercy and are pleading with the world to help them. "We are tired of the killing and the starvation. Please stop. Help us," they said.
Israel claims 83 trucks of humanitarian aid entered Gaza on Friday, as the UN chief calls for more to be done to avert starvation deaths. “All the aid authorized so far amounts to a teaspoon, when an avalanche of aid is needed. The needs are massive and the obstacles are staggering. Strict quotas are being imposed on the goods we distribute, along with unnecessary delays. Other essential items, including fuel, shelter, cooking gas and water purification supplies, are being blocked,” said Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General.
The UN chief called again for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza between Israeli forces and Hamas militants, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and full humanitarian access. More than 53,800 people have been killed in the Palestinian enclave by Israel's bombing and ground campaign since October 7, 2023, according to Palestinian health authorities. (A2 Televizion)
