First the death sirens… then explosions and fireballs. Ukraine experienced another night of massive attacks carried out by the Russian military.
At least three people have been killed in the port city of Odessa, according to reports. At least seven others have been injured, A2 CNN reports.
Russia has also targeted the capital Kiev with Iranian Shahed suicide drones and various missiles. Local authorities reported at least 8 injuries, while citizens speak of what has now become a real hell for them.
"Putin doesn't want the war to end. I hope they reach a ceasefire. Bombing people like this... the poor children! My 3-year-old daughter is getting very scared. I pray that the Russians will accept the ceasefire, but Putin doesn't want to. I hope he dies," said Olha Chyrukha, a resident of Kiev.
"The children woke up screaming at 3 in the morning. 'Mom, we've been shot! The balcony is on fire.' I told them to take their documents, the two cats and leave," said Olha Karlina, a resident of Kiev.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is urging the United States and Europe to increase pressure on Russia through new sanctions to force it to accept a long-term ceasefire. There was also a reaction to the latest massive Iskander missile and drone attack. “After each bombing, the world is even more convinced that the reason why this war is being dragged out lies in Moscow,” Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel. “Ukraine has repeatedly proposed a ceasefire, both full and air. All this has been ignored,” he added. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military confirms the downing of 6 Iskander ballistic missiles and 245 drones launched by Russia in the past 24 hours.
