The son of Iran's last Shah said the regime's weakening has given the Iranian people an opportunity to "finally liberate themselves."
Speaking in an interview with the BBC, Reza Pahlavi said that a new wave of hope and energy has been created as a result of the ongoing missile attacks between Iran and Israel, a situation in which citizens can rise up to make a difference.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araki said Israel's attacks were aimed at sabotaging nuclear talks with the US that were due to resume on Sunday in Oman, but which have now been cancelled.
He said that Israel's attacks had US support and that Iran was acting only in self-defense, which was previously denied by President Trump when he said that America knew nothing about the Israeli attack. (A2 Televizion)
