About 50 protesters demonstrated in Tel Aviv on Saturday night, calling for a ceasefire as Israeli forces' assault on the Gaza Strip continues.
" We are here to protest against the indiscriminate killing of civilians that we are seeing in recent weeks, by Hamas and the IDF in the Gaza Strip. We were calling for a ceasefire now and the release of the hostages, and we were moving towards a solution to this endless bloodshed and constant killing ," the protesters said.
Meanwhile, in another protest, thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv calling for the release of hostages held by Hamas since October 7.
Among the protesters, gathered outside Israel's defense ministry, were family, friends and supporters of the hostages.
Some held up pictures of the hostages as they shouted "now," in Hebrew.
Hamas militants attacked Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip on October 7, killing 1,200 people and taking more than 200 hostages, Israel says.
The attack sparked Israeli military action in Gaza, which has claimed 11,000 lives in the enclave, according to Palestinian authorities. (A2 Televizion)
